wedding ice sculptures by ice dragon ice
Your wedding, with ice sculptures! And we have so many ways to have ice at your wedding reception! Your ice sculpture can be a purely decorative piece, perhaps a photo op for guests to post on social media, or a special way to serve a signature cocktail via an ice luge. You can use ice to showcase your food, with an icy seafood display or even a shrimp luge. Or maybe give your flowers or even your cake that memorable touch by putting them on ice!
We specialize in giving your New Orleans wedding ice sculptures a little bit (subtle fleur de lis detailing?) or even a LOT (Roman Candy Cart!) of Nola ❤️! And of course, it’s your day, so it’s all about YOU! Virtually any of our existing ice sculpture designs can be personalized with names or a custom monogram. But rather than recreating an old design, we love creating custom designs that have some significance for you and your special day!
We’ve just rebuilt the format of the website, so we’ll be adding newer pics and info in the coming days. Also, check out this article on the Knot where we talk about wedding ice sculptures! And if you’re ready to add ice to your wedding, get in touch and see if we’re available for your reception!
Also, to see even more of our wedding ice sculptures, check out these galleries: ice bars, luges, shrimp luges, and fleurs de lis ⚜️ And we’re working on a gallery of our most unusual wedding ice sculptures; look for that soon!
there are lots of ways to use ice sculptures at your wedding!
the top 5 kinds of wedding ice sculptures, maybe in no particular order:
1) monogrammed ice luges for espresso martinis or other signature drinks
2) food displays including personalized shrimp luges and ice bars for very cool presentations
3) just something pretty cool: sometimes, ice sculptures are just there for a WOW factor! (and they make for a great photo op too!)
4) groom’s luge, subbing for the groom’s cake: these don’t have monograms and are usually obviously all about the groom!
5) full service ice bar: often these bars also have luges on top and are staffed with a bartender or two
Over the years, it’s been interesting to see how wedding ice sculptures have shown up in more and more places at receptions. It used to be that wedding ice sculptures were found pretty much in one place: on a buffet. But now, they’re found serving signature cocktails at the bar, welcoming guests at the entrance, possibly underneath the cake, maybe showing off huge floral arrangements, or they may actually BE the buffet.
And as social media plays a larger role in our lives, ice sculptures are used more and more as photo ops, whether just for selfies or even as a photo frame specifically designed for picture taking. (#icedragonice 😉) We embrace the new and innovative ways that ice is getting integrated into weddings. Because the same old same old is BORING! And boring sucks at an event that you want to remember for the rest of your lives! So bring us your borderline crazy ideas and let us see what we can do! Get the ball rolling by telling us about your reception and what you’d like your wedding ice sculpture(s) to look like.
If you don’t see something you like here, just google “wedding ice sculptures” and see if you find something you like. Then you can bring it to us and we can customize it (and often improve it!) so that it’s perfect for your reception.
but that’s not all!
Please check out these other related galleries that might have wedding ice sculptures too!: ice luges, ice bars, shrimp luges, the fleur de lis, ice and flowers, dogs, and Who dat! ice. And check out our page (complete with reviews) on the Knot! Finally, we work on this site almost EVERY DAY! (Er, that’s a lie. But, trying to be better, especially as we update the entire site. This page is a particular focus as we add our most recent wedding ice sculptures!)
