see, all that stuff inside Frosty is shrimp. It doesn’t look quite as appetizing with the green and red lighting, but don’t worry, there wasn’t much shrimp left at the end of this party! We’ve made a lot of unusual shrimp luges and this one was definitely one of those!

Rudolph with his red nose is, unsurprisingly, one of our most popular Christmas ice sculptures. Other ice sculptors across the country have also made our version inspired by the classic tv movie, as we shared the design on our teaching website, .

we’re glad snowflakes aren’t really this big! Or winter would be a rough time to be alive. Well, it would be in places where it snows a lot at least. And weirdly, that included New Orleans, after our early 2025 blizzard 🥶😳

this Christmas ice sculpture is functional. Like other luges we make, it has funnels at the top and tubes that run through the sculpture. For Rudolph, the tubes come out of his mouth. So if you’re creeped out by reindeer, maybe pass on getting a shot from this one 😉

what’s a Mr. Bingle you ask? He’s the ice cream cone-hatted and holly-winged magic snowman that helps Santa. He’s a less famous, frozen water version of Rudolph, kinda. Nola department store Maison Blanche came up with this New Orleans icon.

just so you know, your Christmas tree ice sculpture doesn’t have to say “never go back” on it. That’s there because this is a the wrap party for the Tom Cruise movie. They didn’t think much of my possibly controversial design 😤 and decided that a Christmas tree was safer. 

this is a behind the scenes look at one of our Christmas ice sculptures. Freshly sculpted and still in the freezer at a hotel, this Christmas tree is still frozen solid. It’ll be a while before it starts to take on the glassy look of an ice sculpture that’s been melting for a bit.

this colorful Christmas ice sculpture of a fundraiser gala logo was a freebie. It was for the Baldwin County Humane Association’s Christmas by the Bay event. (Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be held anymore.) If you’re doing a legit animal welfare fundraiser near Nola and want an ice sculpture, we’ll likely do it for free!

ok, for this design, the candles aren’t ice, since that would be impossible, I think. They at least wouldn’t work for very long. But the rest, all ice.

I have not made this design before, but others have, since it’s available on my ice sculpting info site. One sculptor set it up on an ice skating rink, which was pretty awesome!

we love this candy canes design, but this Christmas ice sculpture had a disappointing life. It ALMOST made it in the Best Picture winning movie from 2018: Green Book. But I don’t think the scene it was hired for was ever filmed at English Turn Golf & Country Club. So it melted away, its dreams dashed 😞

we used to work closely with a local neon sign company and we made a series of ice sculptures with integrated neon. It’s expensive, but we know how to do it if you ever want the kind of ice sculpture that no one has ever seen before!

a highly detailed sculpture like this, of Santa’s face, wouldn’t last too long in New Orleans, even in December. But maybe you have a short party. Or maybe the weather goes crazy again and we have another blizzard here 🤷‍♂️

this sculpture of Santa holding up the Naughty List features a list of nasty Gulf hurricanes. One of my ice sculptor friends is on there too 🤣 

here’s a giant ice version of the Marty Moose mug that Clark and Eddie drink from in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. This would make a great eggnog luge if you ask me!

we only made this Christmas ice sculpture once, but I like it! Even though this snowman has no face, you can still feel the emotion from his enthusiastic wave.

this angel ice sculpture was praying that she wouldn’t melt this time. Sadly, her prayers went unanswered 😞 Also, you can tell from the ice here that this is one of our oldest sculptures on the site. The block had a white core and wasn’t completely clear. We don’t use those blocks anymore.
