GEAUX Tigers! LSU ice sculptures

These are not ALL the LSU ice sculptures that we’ve made, not by a ways! But these are some of the better and more recent ones. (Probably the first one we did was just purple “LSU” lettering, not all that impressive 🥱)

This new site is easier to work on, so expect more LSU ice sculpture pics, more often! And if you’re really impatient, see if we’ve added more LSU stuff to Instagram.

Regardless, definitely check out the Tik Tok below the gallery, to see how a simple bottle luge for tailgating is made. (In case you’re wondering, ice sculpting secrets is the teaching part of our ice sculpting endeavors. If you want to make your own LSU ice sculpture, the video shows much of what it takes.)

Now you can see that a few of the tiger sculptures in the gallery have a lot of color. These are a bit complicated to make, since you have to get all the colors right. And not gonna lie, we’ve almost goofed a few times 😬 But so far so good and these have been some of my favorite LSU ice sculptures, no doubt!

By the way, totally understand that you might have questions, like “how exactly do we add those colors?”,”what’s a luge, anyway?”, or “what the heck does ‘GEAUX’ mean?” Also, “how much does an LSU ice sculpture cost?”

We’re going to answer all those questions, as soon as we can. But PLEASE be patient! Our webmaster is kind of trash 🗑️ and we think he drinks while he’s rebuilding this site 😬 Sometimes we find him passed out under an ice luge in the freezer 😱🥶 But as we build out this new and improved site, we’ll be getting him to add a lot more info and hopefully answer all those questions. Stay tuned…

Ok, if you watch this Tik Tok that we posted on icesculptingsecrets, you might think that whenever we make color ice sculptures, we’re just freezing a print inside the sculpture. But freezing a print inside is actually not the norm and we do that only when we don’t have a better option.

Usually, we use craft sand for our color. Here’s a pic of the sands that we use for all the color LSU ice sculptures in the gallery up above. This is just normal, everyday craft sand. Nothing special. So most of our color ice sculptures are just frozen water and sand.

Oops, we forgot to add the sand pic…we’ll get to that soon, promise!! We might even add some more words after that as well!

@icesculptingsecrets Here’s the making of a tailgate ice luge (and a tiny bit of the fun!) for the L’Auberge Baton Rouge party before the LSU-Florida game. I really like that St. Roch Vodka bottle design! . . #iceluge #icesculpture #icesculpting #tailgateparty #lsufootball #lsutigers #lsuflorida #laubergebatonrouge #strochvodka #icesculptingsecrets ♬ Synth bass, four-on-the-floor, EDM, painful(1011084) - Kenting

If you’re not looking for an LSU ice sculpture, you can check out some other Louisiana and New Orleans-themed ice sculptures ⚜️ We also have a selection of Mardi Gras ice sculptures, a bit of New Orleans Saints ice, and even a gallery of frozen fleurs-de-lis. In the case where these links don’t work just yet, please use the Search 🔍 option that hopefully works by now. We DID tell you about our webmaster, right? He was supposed to have fixed that by now 🙄
